Noma

NOMA is a SaaS designed for small plant retailers. Its ambition: centralise information and simplify everyday tasks with an AI assistant, without taking control of decisions away from the user. Between reservations written on paper, stock tracked across several tools and instructions shared verbally, information soon becomes scattered.

Context

A SaaS for plant professionals dealing with information scattered across paper, tills, spreadsheets and verbal exchanges.

Role

Product Designer, from user research to the design and testing of an AI-enabled prototype.

Research

Three interviews with industry professionals, personas, AS IS journeys and UX benchmarking to identify the main pain points.

Process

TO BE journeys, sitemap, user flow, responsive wireframes, interactive prototype and user testing.

Solutions

An AI assistant that interprets reservation requests in natural language, with the option to review, edit or reject the proposed information.

Results

A prototype tested with three users. Their feedback identified improvements, particularly in error handling and cancelling a request.

Reflection

AI should not add complexity: it proposes, explains and lets the user decide. Trust also depends on being able to correct its mistakes.
