Les Bambinets

Turning partial wireframes into an accessible sign-language learning experience: user journeys, visual direction, Style Guide / Design System and a high-fidelity prototype. A playful interface for adult learners.

View the Figma prototype

Context

A sign-language learning project existed as partial wireframes, without a visual direction or design system.

Role

UX/UI Designer: user journeys, visual direction, Style Guide and Design System, through to the high-fidelity prototype.

Wireframe boards and interface cards for a sign-language learning application

Research

Defining adult learners' needs, creating moodboards and exploring references for playful yet restrained interfaces.

Process

Reworking wireframes, defining journeys, creating a Style Guide and then a complete Design System in Figma.

Solutions

A playful interface for adults, accessible components (contrast, target sizes and focus states) and a navigable high-fidelity prototype.

Results

A consistent, reusable visual language, ready for development.

Reflection

Accessibility works best when built into the Design System rather than fixed at the end.
